 Executive Committee of Tirana (Albania)

November 2nd and 3rd, 2012

 The European Council of Police Trade Unions (CESP) – An international non-governmental organization (INGO) of the Council of Europe representing 350 000 police officers from 20 countries (13 of which are members of the European Union) grouping 21 unions – held its Executive Committee in Tirana on November 2nd and 3rd  2012

Due to the economical crisis all over Europe crime is increasing everywhere. CESP expresses its strong opposition to the austerity measures which plunge Europe into a deep economic stagnation or recession. These measures, far from restoring confidence and giving a light of hope to the citizens, only aggravate social imbalances, create more injustices and destroy the European social model.

At this moment, the police officers of the European countries in which the TROIKA (European Commission, European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund) has intervened or is about to intervene are involved in the same fighting processes of their fellow citizens against a blind austerity. Request for financial treatment of State Police employees addressed to the Minister of Interior, Minister of Finance and Prime minister

Police Union in cooperation with international partners assisting State Police such as PAMECAIII and ICITAP program together with the best specialists of different fields of State Police being supported by international experts has prepared a report on financial treatment of State Police employees for the period 2003-2011.

The aim of this report is to review the salaries of State Police employees as a basic element for a better performance of State Police.

Request on proposals about some changes of “State Police” law, addressed to Mr. Spiro Ksera, Minister of Labour and Equal Chances and Social Affairs

Albanian Police Union being part of the working group for revising the State Police law under the monitoring of ICITAP and based on the letter nr. 880, dt. 01.06.2011 of the Minister of Labour and Equal Chances and Social Affairs addressed to the Minister of Interior it is said that ILO has addressed some warnings about the law nr. 9749, dt. 04.06.2007 “For State Police” for ignoring the right of police employees to create other trade unions and that this is against the article 5 of Social European Chart revised.   Continue reading…

Police Union, signs a cooperation agreement with Kosovo Police Union.

Prishtina, 03.08.2012

Having in mind the need for drafting the Collective Contract between KPU and MoI aiming to take the best practices, the Stirring Council of Kosovo Police Union in its meeting on 23.04.2012, took an unanimous decision that from 24.05.-27.05.2012, to organise a working Seminar in cooperation with Albanian Police Union in Durres. On this occasion the leaders of two Unions agreed on signing a cooperation agreement between the two Unions. This agreement was realised on 03.08.2012 in Prishtina where  Valbona Kamberi, the chairman of Kosovo Police Union and Sadetin Fishta, chairman of Albanian Police Union signed this cooperation agreement.   Continue reading…
