ALBANIAN POLICE UNION

Our Union is following with great concern the problem of collective dismissals from the work of our police employees.

Our concern is the flagrant interference of the police leaders in the activities of our Union in the dismissals from the work of our Union representatives and especially our Deputy Chairman and three our representatives in the region of Elbasan, Fier and Korca. The total number of the dismissed police employees is over 350.

The General Directorate of our State Police did not carry out any negotiation at all with us as a Union nevertheless this is sanctioned in the Collective Contract.

For the moment we have brought in front of the court 60 cases which are being pursued by our lawyer,

Thirty cases are judged in the first instant court and on those cases the court expressed itself on the favour of our members.

For the moment our big concern is to turn back into work our Deputy Chairman and three leaders of our regional branches which do enjoy a legal protection under the Collective Contract.

The cooperation of our Union with the General Directorate of our State Police is missing since the last November and on.

The relationships of our Union are almost frozen with the General Director of our State Police and with the Minister of Interior as well.

We ask from our Government to execute the legal rights and obligations in the respect of the implementation of our Constitution and the laws in power.
